"Watch Dogs gets a release window from Ubisoft and the Wii U version can't catch a break"
Watch Dogs is still coming out for the other systems before the end of the Spring, but it seems that the Wii U is the Harry Potter, being stuck in under the stairs never to be heard from again.... Ubisoft has revealed Watch Dogs has a release window between April and June, though Gamestop has it listed for June 30th tentatively. This window includes the Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Wii U.
Oh wait... turns out that the Wii U is becoming the middle child of this generation as development has put this version on the back burner so that more customers can have the satisfaction of their game.
"We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team's resources where they could have been the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft"
While this does not mean the version is canceled, it does add a significant blow to the Wii U on third party development. The Wii U has already been hit hard with the lack of third party support and while it is still being developed it does make it more difficult for Nintendo to compete in this generation. Hopefully, this will not be another Aliens: Colonial Marines fiasco... That is, if Watch Dogs actually makes it onto the Wii U, I doubt it will be that bad.
Sorry Nintendo, looks like your savior is in another castle....err game.
