| The prophecy has come to pass, as a pint-sized hero lavished in a green tunic has come to bring peace to the land of Hyrule and his name is…Sonic the Hedgehog? Yes, it’s true!
IGN broke the news earlier today that Yoshi’s Island isn’t Sonic’s only Nintendo themed stop on his tour of the Lost World, as the speedy hedgehog is stretching up for a few laps in Link’s domain.
Launching tomorrow exclusively for the Wii U version of Sonic: Lost World, The Legend of Zelda Zone features 3D runways inspired by iconic Zelda titles including Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.
This’ll be one epic side-quest for “The Blue Blur,” as he’ll be fending off hordes of Stalfos, dashing away from rolling Gorons, freeing captured animals for Ruppes, and collecting heart pieces along the way. Not to mention there’ll also be a few surprises hidden throughout the zone’s branching paths.
Much like the Yoshi’s Island DLC, this new area will be available for FREE!
Sonic the Hedgehog and The Legend of Zelda. The greatest crossover I never knew I wanted.
