Dear Magebane, Kut, Ral and friends,

PWI is now a game I dont even recognize. Things have changed so much from the game I started playing five years ago. I understand that a game has to evolve to keep up with new advances in technology and to provide newer and fresher experiences for the longer term players. For several people I know this game is their only game and it always will be. I am overwhelmed, perplexed, confused, lost and in general dissatisfied with the game as it now stands. It is over-complicated and I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who comes to the game totally new. There was a lot to learn about the subtleties of the game in the first place and many people got away from being skilled in their classes to just plain being overpowered through the use of real money. Skill doesn't really count any more. When I first started playing this game I learned a method of kiting a mob so that my cleric would not get hit so much. As she gained various skills that method was not needed so much any more as she could now freeze a mob for enough time to kill it. But still that was a skill and it took practice.

I am not going to be playing PWI so much any more, mainly because of the recent changes, but also because I am wanting to spend more time with my art work now. I will be happy to take my characters out of Magebane so that Kut wont have to have the unpleasant job of kicking them. IF and that is a big IF, I ever try to become active in the game again I hope that Magebane will still be here and can welcome me back once again. I wish nothing but the best to all of you and success in all your endeavors.

PS, if you would like to keep in touch with me you can send me email at unicorn@txcyber.com. My real life name is Deborah.

Happy gaming
Wysse et al.

Aww sorry to see you go Wysse but we totally understand. To be honest the reincarnation/war avatar cards are optional. Like I've been telling people in the fac chat the past couple of days, it really only benefits PvPers. Another way to look at reincarnation is a level cap increase. Some new areas and the upgraded/merged skills can only be accessed through reincarnation. War avatar cards are really a type of rank 10. Honestly I don't have every skill on my toons nor have I done every instance before the expansion and I still enjoy the game. I reincarnated my cleric and plan to put morai gear on him and have him strictly for PvE. It really comes down to what you want to do in game. Anyways you are always welcomed back if you decide you miss us and I will not remove you from the our site so you can also keep in touch with us here. Take care Wysse and happy holidays. Smile

Thanks so much Ral. Maybe in a few days or weeks, who knows, I will decide I like the people over what ever the game does and be back. Every transition period has people full of questions all over the place and you will all have your hands pretty full answering all those questions. Good luck with it all.

a lot has changed but one thing always remains the same, your friends are there to play with you when you need them. i nwas told that as a child and i still think the same thing now as an adult. this world changes but we can deny it the pleaseure of letting us down by doing what makes us happy. see you soon we will miss you Wysse

Remember Wysse we are also a multi-game community. So if you decide to play another game that isn't threaded on our site I can always make a thread for it. That's assuming of course if you play on another game and are very active on it. Btw do you have a deviant art account? Would love to see your art work sometime. I should make one since I got some old stuff I can put up.

Thanks for the suggestion Ral. I will look into it. Right now I have a few pictures of my old stuff in a binder but I had so much I made over five years ago and most of it was given away to friends. Sold a few things but not many. Most of the stuff I did sell was jewelry. I love making stuff but I hate selling it. Kinda stupid I know but it isn't a rational thing.

I got an account opened on DeviantArt. My user name or account name is Wyssewoman of course.
I had hubby take pictures of my latest efforts. Still working on some ceramic tiles. I had three done and gave them to family who have January birthdays, my daughter and my dear sweet mother-in-law. Sorry no photos of those.

Color is another skill that can also be learned. The colored pencil is the worst for me as I dont like its texture and getting a smooth surface requires a lot of burnishing and that is hard on my hands. The watercolor I am growing to like more and more. Ceramics are just a temporary thing I am playing with right now. Did you like the new tiles I posted?
